From the French Town That Invented the Claw Clip

Oyonnax, the hidden French capital of claw clips.

Created in Oyonnax, the French town where the iconic claw clip was invented in the late 1980s by Christian Potut, whose company CSP Diffusion was founded there in 1986. We handcraft our clips in the very same place. Just as Champagne made in Champagne earns the name, only claw clips made in Oyonnax carry the same legacy of origin and craftsmanship.

What Makes Our Hair Claws Different From The High Street?

France is the birthplace of elegance - not only in fashion, but in the fine art of hair accessories. In fact, claw clips as we know them were first created in France, in the town of Oyonnax, in the late 1980s, by Christian Potut, whose company CSP Diffusion was founded there in 1986. Long before that, in 1630, the King of France named this same town the exclusive supplier of hair accessories to the French court.
