Tegen - Founder of Tegen Accessories

Staff Favourites Blog-Tegen-Small Rectangle Cut Out Hair Claw-Creme Brûlée-Accessories
Hair type:

Blonde, shoulder length hair. It's fine but there's lots of it.

Favourite Tegen Hair Accessory:

Small Rectangle Cut Out Hair Claw.

What do you like about this accessory?

The size of this hair claw is great for my fine but lots of hair. The barrel of the clip fits around the bulk of the twist and the teeth cross over tightly to securely hold the hair in place making this clip comfortable to wear all day long.

How do you style it?

I use this clip to get all my hair out of my face in an 'up do', twisting it from the nape of the neck, bringing it up and putting the clip about half way along the twist. I sometimes use this clip for half up styles too, which also works well due to the teeth holding securely in the hair. The neutral colours this clip comes in work with any outfit. I have picked the new Crème Brûlée colour-way today.

Staff Favourites Blog-Elysia-Mini Rectangle Barrette-Mint Peach Floral-Tegen Accessories

Hair type:

Lots of long brown/blonde hair, quite fine, slippery and very straight! I sometimes find it difficult to get hair styles to stay put.

Favourite Tegen hair accessory:

Ooh La La French handmade Mini Rectangle Barrette, particularly in Onyx or Mint and Peach Floral.

What do you like about this accessory?

It is small enough, and closes firmly enough, to hold my super slippery hair. I don't even have to re-do it during the day. I 'm also obsessed with the Onyx colour in the handmade range, and the other floral colours this barrette comes in a really pretty!

How do you style it?

I pull back half of my hair from the sides and top of my head and secure it at my crown with the barrette. Sometimes, I spray a bit of hairspray on it before adding the barrette to help it stay in place even longer.

Staff Favourites Blog-Anna-Small Flower Hair Clip-White Tokio-Tegen Accessories

Hair type:

Long hair with bangs (fringe), light auburn, medium weight.

Favourite Tegen hair accessory:

French handmade Hair Clips, particularly the Narrow Hair Clip and the Small Flowers Hair Clip.

What do you like about this accessory?

It's a cute way to pin back small pieces of hair! A little bling with the Swarovski crystals adds a nice sparkle to any outfit.

How do you style it?

I twist a small side piece of hair and pin it to the back of the head, then repeat on the other side.

Staff Favourites Blog-Elle-Handmade Fabric Knot Headband-Mustard-Tegen Accessories

Hair type:

Thin, medium length, ginger hair.

Favourite Tegen hair accessory:

Handmade Fabric Knot Headband.

What do you like about this accessory?

The simplicity of these headbands is so good, it makes wearing them so easy and they do not rub at all. It looks like you have made so much effort, when really it only took a few seconds! I especially love the mustard colour!

How do you style it?

I just place it behind my ears, drag some hair forward to the front to shape my face and either tie my hair up or leave it down to look effortless. Style win!

Staff Favourites Blog-Sophie-3D Monochrome Lace Headband-Black-White-Tegen Accessories

Hair type:

Long, thick and blonde.

Favourite Tegen hair accessory:

The French handmade headbands. Especially the3D Patterned Monochrome Lace Headband and the 20mm Headband.

What do you like about this accessory?

It's super flexible, so comfortable, a classic design, and perfect when I wanted to grow out my fringe!

How do you style it?

Part my hair in a centre parting, push back my fringe with the headband, voila!

Sapphire - Sales Advisor

Staff Favourites Blog-Sapphire-12cm French Pleat Comb-White Tokio-Tegen Accessories

Hair type:

Thick, wavy/curly, short to medium length.

Favourite Tegen hair accessory:

12cm French Pleat Comb.

What do you like about this accessory?

It's so light weight and holds like a dream. Because it has so many teeth it grips and supports all my hair, keeping it up off my neck all day (and it only takes seconds!). Plus it looks so classical and elegant.

How do you style it?

I brush all my hair back, do a low twist with all of my hair, flip it up and tuck it under the pocket made by the twist. Then I grab the top layer of my hair with the teeth of the comb, flip it over and push it under with enough tension to keep it's hold all day.

Beth - Sales Advisor

Staff Favourites Blog-Beth-Triangle Pearl Snap Clip-Tegen Accessories

Hair type:

Silky, thin, medium-long hair with blonde/brown balayage.

Favourite Tegen hair accessory:

Pearl Snap Clips.

What do you like about this accessory?

I love how wearable the clip is and how it can easily take an outfit to the next level. Oversized clips are very 'in' at the moment, and the addition of the tiny pearls that cover the clip make it a must-have piece.

How do you style it?

I use two snap clips either side of my ponytail to create a polished look. Or, I use one snap clip to put up a chunk of my hair at one side, and let the other side down for a beachy, understated look.
